Clockenflap is a two-day Multimedia Arts & Music Festival that incorporates international and local live music, film, art installations, digital arts and animation. This year's festival will take place on 10-11 December 2011 at the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade. We are proud to be sponsors of this year's festival - which is also the largest Clockenflap to date. In 2009, Marc & Chantal Design brought what was known to be the dark-horse of the festival, Beijing's Electro / Disco House / Punk combo - Pet Conspiracy, to Clockenflap. This time around, we continue to support the event, and its vision to bring quality outdoor music festivals to Hong Kong with the sponsorship of Free The Birds.

Free the birds, started by former band leader of Pet Conspiracy, Helen Feng, in 2004, consists of four people from different places with vastly different pasts. Born in Beijing and raised in the U.S., Helen Feng, a life-long musician, came to China to work in Film and Television. She met her guitarist Cui Shi Ming in a guitar shop in Gulou, Beijing, and decided to start a band with him after just one conversation. The band's ambition is to make music that is a soundtrack for their country - a place cynical and square, melancholic and up-lifiting at the same time, reaching for spirituality or anything to believe in. As if they all were a flock of birds, freed from their cage but still unable to fly. Sad, but full of hope.
