On a mission to appeal to the instant-gratification-seeking youth of today, Marc & Chantal Design created this multi-dimensional and layered experience for the Home Affairs Bureau (HAB), Civic Education Resource Centre (CERC) in Hong Kong.
The designers set out to create what would become an identity consisting of a die-cut pattern of inspirational words that reflected the overall philosophy and values of both HAB and the lessons taught at the CERC. The team created a fresh and transparent identity, which brought a sense of weightlessness and simplicity to the overall facilities.
The largest part of the scope was the design of The Gallery. The Gallery divided into five segments titled, My Room, My Home, My Neighbourhood, My City and My Country. From self-image to interpersonal skills, each segment of the exhibition is intended to encourage the young students to think for themselves, interact with their peers and take ownership of their experiences.
