A Creative Partnership with Clockenflap for the Third Year

26 November 2014

Continuing a long-standing collaborative partnership between Marc & Chantal and the Clockenflap team, the 2014 edition of the Music and Arts Festival will feature an installation designed specifically for this year's event.

The creative team at Marc & Chantal conceptualised an inflatable structure that creates a vortex-like space drawing festival goers into a Time Machine stage. Working closely with the Art Department at Clockenflap, this entrance prepares guests for the surreal experience to come. It builds on the success of the previous years’ projects to reach out to the young audience on the prime harbour spot in Hong Kong, the West Kowloon Cultural District park. The 2012 design featured upcycled seating made from elastic bands and re-purposed bus tires to allow weary concert goers a chance to relax. Last year, a light drawing photo studio was housed in a gigantic inflatable cloud, linked to the virtual cloud and allowed people to walk away with a professional and creative selfie to share across social platforms. This year promises to continue the trend of playful interventions that creatively shift perceptions.
