As part of DETOUR, a two week festival of creative happenings in Hong Kong, we created two distinct installations. The first one, titled “Follow the Orange Rabbit” was an homage to Lewis Carroll’s famed work “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. Visitors were encouraged to eat a candy then pass through a small door into a room covered in mirror sheets. There they were immersed into a fantasy bubble world and free to play and laugh at their distorted reflections. The second room, titled “Les Poèmes du Mandarin”, was a video installation illustrating the collaborative work of Marc & Chantal with contemporary calligrapher Fung Ming Chip for Hermès’ Compagnie des Arts de la Table.
